Computer Mate Limited reserves the right to change these terms and conditions at any time without notice.

Mobile Call Out Labour Charge

Minimum labour is half an hour and the callout charge to the following postcodes are as follows:

$29: 9010, 9011, 9012, 9013, 9016, 9018, 9022, 9076 

$29: 9014, 9023, 9024, 9035, 9077, 9085, 9092
$49: 9019, 9073, 9074, 9081, 9082, 9091

Diagnoses and Estimate
All computers are checked for basic faults such as Hard Drive and Memory as part of the diagnoses. Once the diagnoses is completed an estimate will be presented where upon the customer may decide to go ahead with some or all of the recommendations.

All computers will receive a diagnoses and estimate fee.

Opening Hours
Standard service hours are Monday — Friday 9am to 5.30pm

Responsibility
It is your responsibility to back up all software and data on your computer's hard drive(s) and/or any other storage devices. Computer Mate Limited shall not be responsible at any time for any loss, alteration, or corruption of any software, data, or files.

Installation Authorisation
For on-site services, a person at least 18 years of age must be present during the entire time period services are provided. If no adult is present when the Computer Mate Limited technician arrives, services will be denied and a minimum labour plus callout charge will be assessed.

Payment Terms
No equipment will be released until the invoice(s) have been paid in full (unless by prior arrangement).

Equipment Collection
There is a storage charge of $10 per week per computer/HDD/printer not collected within 14 days of the original invoice date. Any property left with Computer Mate Limited for 90 days or more will be disposed of, at this time Computer Mate Limited shall have no liability to the client or any third party.

Debt Recovery Costs
All costs, charges and expenses incurred by us in recovering any debt shall be paid by you. If a payment made by cheque is refused, you shall be liable for all reasonable costs incurred as a result.

Title
All goods remain our property until such a time as they have been paid in full, as per all invoices issued by us for those goods.

Warranties
All new goods sold by us are covered by a warranty of 12 months, or that required by applicable law. Used products (including refurbished, second-hand and ex-demo products) will have a warranty of 90 days, except where otherwise specified. The warranty runs from the original invoice date onwards. If a fault does develop or is found, this must be notified to us promptly. We endeavour to provide technical support and online facilities to assist / enhance your usage of the products purchased from us, however such supply / provision is provided as a courtesy only and not included in your contract with us and may be withdrawn or refused at any time.

Return to Base
If a Computer Mate Limited product should fail due to a manufacturer’s defect within the specified warranty period the product should be delivered prepaid to the Computer Mate Limited office in Dunedin. The cost of returning the product to Computer Mate Limited is the responsibility of the customer. If the product is deemed to have a manufacturer’s defect and is under warranty it will be repaired, fully serviced and returned free of charge to the nominated address, excluding the replacement of batteries.

The customer should ensure that the problem they are experiencing is not related to such issues as general cleaning and maintenance or dead batteries. Products returned as having "no fault found" will incur handling and return freight charges.

Warranty Terms & Conditions

  1. The warranty period begins from the time of sale to the customer.
  2. The warranty does not cover preventative maintenance or cost and replacement of batteries.
  3. The warranty does not cover parts and labour required as a result of mains supply electrical surges, lightning strikes, neglect or misuse by the customer or non qualified persons (including modifications not
approved by Computer Mate Limited), water damage and other acts of nature.
  4. The warranty does not cover product that has been used beyond its capabilities or not in accordance with its specifications.
  5. The warranty covers replacement of any defective part and the cost of fitting the part, however, Computer Mate Limited is not liable for the recovery of data or replacement of software.

LIMITATION OF REMEDY
Under no circumstances shall Computer Mate Limited and/or its third party service provider be liable to you or any other person for any damages, including without limitation, any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, expenses costs, profits, lost savings or earnings, lost or corrupted data, or other liability arising out of, or related to, the services provided by Computer Mate Limited.
